We put together a nice component kit that will allow easy calibration of your B&K 700 or 707 series tube tester. These are hard to find values, especially at their ratings. These are not cheap parts by any-means! This kit will last the rest of your solder slinging, restoration days which is the only way we do things here at G1217.
Calibration instructions are available upon request or on our site. We also have a calibration kit in a separate listing for the 747 series tester. Or a master kit which covers all 3 testers.
This kit purchase comes with:
- 1uF 400V Film capacitor
- 10K Dale wirewound 5w 1% resistor
- 1Mohm Dale wirewound 4w 1% resistor
- 20Mohm Dale wirewound 4w 1% resistor
- 2qty Straight ground pin with loop
- All pins come pre-soldered with machine turned gold contact pins to prevent tube socket damage
Skill level:
- These parts are for experienced electronic techs with restoration experience
- If you have not worked with high voltage AC electronics, DEATH by electrocution is highly possibly when calibrating
What we recommend:
- We recommend you start with a known working tube tester
- We recommend SAFE working conditions
- We recommend all contacts and wire wound trimmers be cleaned with Deoxit D5 during restoration
We are not responsible for:
- Cooking or killing yourself during calibration because you really do not know what you are doing. We have plenty of warnings - experienced techs only!
- Frying your tube tester. These parts work perfectly. You goof it up - it is on you
