Hickok 752A Project Tube Tester + Manuals + Shipping

Description

The 752A is a highly regarded Hickok tester when functioning as it should. However, this one has some issues I found in a preliminary test. The line-adjust function and meter work as they should. However several of the test buttons are difficult to depress. I suspect they need a thorough cleaning and maybe lube on the mechanical parts. All of the rotary switches and adjustments seem to be working. The meter light and chart lights are good but the light for the right half of the push-button switches is out. The chart is operational but sometimes slips a little but it recovers with a little finesse and moves through most of its range. There are two tube socket-savers installed. I tried testing a known-good 6L6 bogey tube and got no meter movement. I did not pursue the cause. I have not removed the tester from its case to examine the underside. There may be a simple fix like a tube or cap or maybe there is a bigger issue. I just don't know and do not have time to troubleshoot it. I have two other working testers and really do not need this one.
Cosmetically, the case has wear and what looks like some spray paint in a few places. I tried to clean it off without success but I stayed away from solvents. I would be inclined to paint it with black vinyl upholstery paint. The latches are dirty and have some corrosion but I think they could be made much more presentable. The case and hardware are still sturdy. The unit's serial number is '324 00009'.
This unit is being sold as a fixer without warranty. Note that my price includes standard shipping in the CONUSA. Most likely it will be via UPS.
