Lafayette 38-0112 (aka EMC 215) Tube & Transistor Tester + Manual & Charts Works

Here is a very nice and fully working Lafayette 38-0112 Tube & Transistor Tester.
This is one of the compact units in a plastic portable carry case with a strap handle
and a gold faceplate.  This unit was a kit manufactured by EMC.  It's identical to the
EMC 215.  Overall this tester is in very good condition.   The meter
works well and is easy to read.  Please see the pictures for more details.
This unit was recapped, repaired, and fully tested.  Everything works, even the transistor tester section
.  Pictures show the unit testing tubes.  I didn't take any pictures of the
transistor tests, but that section was repaired and tested as well.  It works.  Included in the tests is a weak & leaky tube.
The tester correctly identified good, weak and leaky tubes.
Note: Tubes and transistors shown in the pictures are for demo only.  They do not
come with the sale.
This tester will test a very large number of "modern" tubes including:

That's a lot of tubes!  All sockets and switches work well.
This unit tests PNP & NPN bipolar transistors.  Two C size batteries are used to test
transistors.  I installed brand new batteries.  Armed with this tester,  you'll be ready
to test both tubes and transistors.  The batteries last a long time if you don't leave a
transistor plugged in and the unit turned on.
Tester comes complete with nice copy of original manual with instructions, tube
chart plus supplement.  Manual also includes schematic, instructions for using the
transistor tester, and the construction docs.
