This listing is for a brass set of two "Chan Chu"
Lucky Money Toads
. They each have red stones for eyes and are sitting on a pile of wealth ingots. Often a Chinese coin is placed in the mouth opening (Chinese coins are not included in this eBay listing). The design of the toads is quite detailed and beautiful. The design includes a "chain strung with coins" held in each mouth which drapes across the toad's back.
It is unusual to find two such high quality and distinctive Chan Chu toads sold together. They differ in weight, with one toad weighing 10.8 oz. and the other toad weighing 15.4 oz.  Each are 2 inches in height, 3 1/4 inches in length, and approximately 3 1/8 inches in width at the base. , they can be coupled together on a shelf or placed in separate rooms. They are perfectly sized to fit anywhere and are quite substantial in weight.
In China, the 3-legged toad is believed to attract and protect success and prosperity. They are often placed in a home or business as a symbol of gaining wealth.
