    Description

    In Norse mythology, Skadi is a jotunn and goddess associated with bowhunting, skiing, the mountains, and winter. She appears in both the Prose Edda and Poetic Edda, and in those stories she is the one who hangs the venomous serpent above Loki when he is bound to a rock. This figure depicts her wearing skis, a wolf-skin coat, and she had a bow and quiver of arrows. In her left hand she holds a serpent, in reference to the snake she hung over Loki. The runes along the base spell her name.
    This small statue of Skaldi would be a wonderful addition to an altar or in your home.
