VINTAGE WESTMORELAND OLD QUILT MILK GLASS CUPPED FOOTED PEDESTAL BOWL COMPOTE

For your consideration is this beautiful, vintage milk glass Cupped Bowl/Compote made by the Westmoreland Glass Company in the Old Quilt pattern. One of Westmoreland’s more popular patterns, Old Quilt (also known as “Checkerboard” and “Line 500”) was introduced in milk glass in 1940. This lovely footed bowl, model OQ-40, is adorned with hobstars in squares with a criss-cross arched pattern that resembles a quilt, with a scalloped, beaded edge along the top, and an octagonal, paneled pedestal base. It measures 6 1/4" tall, 5" in diameter at the rim, and 3 1/4” at the base. Overlapping “WG” mark on underside of base.
This, as well as all the other vintage items I have up for sale, has been in my late mother’s home for many, many years.
Please note:
This bowl is in excellent, used vintage condition. But please keep in mind, it is
over 70 years old
and therefore,
not new
. There are no cracks, chips or damage.
